The North Coast: Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic is a scenic region with beaches, rainforests, lush rainforests and nature preserves waterfalls, and towns. It offers many activities, including surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and bodysurfing. In Puerto Plata, you can ride the only tramway in the Caribbean to Pico Isabel de Torres, a 793m high mountain within the city.
